Before leaving to the lake you’ll have a cup of coffee and get acquinted with the basics of seine fishing. Our guests can take part in pulling up the seine or just watch the event on a motorboat. In winter we’ll flash over the ice on kicksleds or snowmobiles. In winter the seine fishing trip is organized together with professional fishermen of Niinivesi who are glad to introduce their occupation to you.

When it’s getting dark in the evening we’ll set off for torch fishing with a fish spear and a bright light. The guests are grouped into teams of two persons on a small boat, moving in silence along the shallow waterfront. A patient fisher may succeed in getting a big catch!

Big catch and changing weather conditions belong to the everyday life of a professional fisherman. “King fisher Jaska” or fisherman Jaakko Hytönen tells about his work and takes our guests to see the fishing nets and traditional Finnish fyke nets. After the fishing trip the guaranteed fresh fish can be smoked or prepared as a delicious meal!

To the angling spot we’ll get on a motorboat or in traditional way on a wooden rowing boat. During the trip you can go ashore to have your packed lunch and enjoy the restful lake scenery. Unhurried moments have a relaxing effect on your mind!

The fishing grounds of the lakes Niinivesi and Vesantojärvi are attractive also for spin and troll fishing. The most common catch is pike and pikeperch. A full-grown perch, trout or salmon may sometimes take the bait, too.
The catch at the lake Vesantojärvi is assured and there is a good possibility to get a catch also at the lake Niinivesi. Fishing gear for hire.

The Finnish state fishing management fee must be paid to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in advance. The weekly fee is 6 €/ person. The fee can be paid via internet www.mmm.fi or on the bank account 166030-101496. We’ll help you to get the licence.
For lure fishing you need an additional licence the fee of which is 6 €/ week. It entitles you to fish with one rod and lure. Payable on the bank account Nordea 166030-106610. Specific fees for the rapids sites are included in the guided service charge. The licence for net and seine fishing is included in the guided service charge.
